Pseudosuccinea columella (Say, 1817) Mimic Lymnaea

A pulmonate snail leading an amphibious lifestyle.  The short triangular tentacles lacking eyespots contrast starkly with those of Succinea, which has long, slender, retractable eyestalks bearing an eyespot at their tips but has an almost identical shell.  These two snails are only remotely related - belonging to different suborders, Basommatophora and Stylommatophora respectively.
