This 65 mm. specimen was found crawling along the ditch bank near the SAM's Club on 5/26/2017. When netted and examined it was discovered that the specimen had no operculum. This is the first Pomacea diffusa ever found by this reporter that had no operculum. However, other northeast Florida/Georgia Pomacea species have been found that had no or an abbreviated operculum.
