Daedalochila auriculata (Say, 1818) On Evergreen Avenue In Duval County, Florida

    Under thick vegetation on the east side of Evergreen Avenue south of the CSX Transportation railroad tracks [GPS: 30.22408N 081.38170W (WGS-84 Datum)], 10/3/2014. The three specimens pictured above were part of a group of five that had assembled in a small area for communal egg laying. After being kept in a makeshift terrarium overnight, eggs were present in the terrarium the next morning (see image below).
