Elliptio ahenea (I. Lea, 1847) Southern Lance

    In small creek which crosses Alumni Way just west of St. Johns Bluff Road, southeastern Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 12/15/2016 (43.5 mm). The species is pictured with the exotic Corbicula fluminea (Müller, 1774) Asian Clam which is very common at this location.
