Triodopsis hopetonensis - From Eggs To Adults

On February 6, 2016 a group of unidentified Triodopsis snails were taken into captivity from the bluff overlooking the Crooked River in Crooked State Park just north of St. Marys, Camden County, Georgia. The snails were found under pine straw near the parks boat launch facility. Some eight months after being collected (October, 2016), the snails deposited seven ova, of which four successfully hatched. The presentation below chronicles the life of the snails - from eggs to adults. All digital images by Lori Schroeder.
