The family Conradiidae Golikov and Starobogatov, 1987 contains one of the most obscure of the poorly-understood skeneiform gastropods. The extinct Cenozoic genus Gelasinostoma Gardner, 1947, the original monotype which is depicted at Gelasinostoma elegantulum (Dall, 1892), appears to be confamilial.
