This species was identified by Warmke and Abbott (1961; p. 63, pl. 11, fig c.) as Parviturbo comptus (Woodring, 1928: p. 353; pl. 27, figs. 3,4), which was described as a Fossarus from the Bowden Formation (Miocene) of Jamaica. Type illustration of P. comptus is shown on the left.
