End of Savage Gulf Road, two miles northeast of Beersheba Springs, Grundy County, Tennessee; Bob Winters! 4/7/2017 (8.8 mm.). The apertural view of shells from this uniform sample resemble the specimen identified as S. stenotrema from Wetumpka, (central) Alabama by Pilsbry (1940: 658, figs. d), but the conspicuous basal notch, somewhat narrow, rather deep interdenticular sinus, and inflexed lateral end of the parietal tooth are more suggestive of S. manifumosum and S. sp. cf. S. magnifumosum as treated in this webfeature. Its conspicuous buttress resembles the latter of those two taxa and is not so well-developed in S. stenotrema.
