Spisula raveneli (Conrad, 1831) Southern Surfclam In Situ

    This Southern Surfclam, measuring about 36 mm., was found and photographed on the north side of Ponce Inlet, Volusia County, Florida by Joel Wooster on 4/14/2007. While present on the beaches of northeast Florida, live specimens are only found occasionally - although dead shells are not uncommon.
