Orange-barred Sulphur [Phoebis philea] |
This large specimen was photographed in captivity at the Tree Hill Nature Center in an urban area of Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on 11/10/2004. Unlike some other local butterfly species such as the Zebra Longwing, the Orange-barred and Cloudless Sulphurs do not adapt well to captivity and only survive for one or two days. |
