Paralaoma servilis (Shuttleworth, 1852) "Pinhead Spot"

    Adult specimen found in debris in a shallow culvert after a storm, Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, October 3, 2021 (1.98 mm.). This specimen survived for 122 days in captivity, during which time it laid several eggs, many of which produced viable offspring; see Paralaoma servilis (Shuttleworth, 1852). It died without demonstrating any growth of its shell while captive. SEMs performed by H. G.
