Amphidromus comes (L. Pfeiffer, 1861)

Large shells, up to 52 mm. Dextral or Sinistral. Thick, shiny, some long and slender, others short and fat. Note the wide range of shapes and sizes in the photos. The lip is often very thick and always completely rolled (adnate) in adults.  It is reported to come from Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. However, it has not been reported from Thailand recently. Those specimens illustrated are from Haitien Province, Vietnam which is near the southern border of Cambodia. It’s closest relative may be Amphidromus perversus as shell shape and some of the color patterns are similar.
