Sweetwater Creek Near Intersection Of Interstate-295 And Philips Highway, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida

      While exploring for terrestrial mollusks in southeastern Duval County on 10/10/2010, a Pomacea paludosa (Say, 1829) [Florida Applesnail] population was discovered in Sweetwater Creek adjacent to the exit ramp from Interstate-295 to Philips Highway. Both live snails and empty shells were common.
