Syphonota is the correct original spelling. The often-used Siphonota Langkavel, 1871 is actually an incorrect subsequent spelling of Siphonotus Adams and Reeve, 1850 (= Syphonota H. and A. Adams, 1854: 34) not of Brandt, 1837 (an arthropod).
