This specimen survived a severe injury which accounted for the removal of most of its last half whorl, leaving only a remnant of the sutural aspect of the labrum, the parietal glaze, and the partially-formed parietal lamella. It then grew back most of the missing shell, stopping a couple of millimeters short of the previous termination, and formed a pretty normal lip. Empty shell in the roadside swale on the south side of Faye Road between the roadway and the CSX Transportation railroad tracks just west of the intersection of Alta Drive, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 5/2013 (10.6 mm).
