Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe

    On side of garage, Alderman Road, Melrose, Clay County, Florida, April, 2015. It should be noted that the way the county lines are drawn in this area of Florida the addresses often provide a misleading perception as to exactly where they nay be found on a map. In this case the location is actually in the outskirts of Keystone Heights in Clay County and is about 3.5 miles north northeast of the town of Melrose. Some five years later in 2020, three empty juvenile Mesodon shells were found in arid scrub habitat along  Gas Lline Road just north of the town of Keystone Heights.
