Leidyula floridana (Leidy, 1851) Florida Leatherleaf

    Under vegetation in roadside swale, Palmetto Avenue, Ft. George Island, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 2/2/2013. This specimen is lighter in coloration than most found in Duval County. This may be due to the presence of abundant oyster shell middens and the crushed lime rock composition of Palmetto Avenue.
