This colony of Red Encrusting Tunicates was photographed by Joel Wooster at Lighthouse Point Park, north side of Ponce Inlet, Volusia County, Florida on 1/12/2009. The species inhabits nearly any hard substrate in the shallow sub-tidal zone. They are most common on rocks, seawalls, jetties, floating docks and mangrove roots. |
