| Beu (1998) points out that Buccinum caudatum Gmelin, 1791 is a secondary junior homonym when the taxon is assigned to Cymatium. Under that circumstance C. (L.) cutaceum (Lamarck, 1816) is the first available name. However, with employment of Linatella at the generic level, the former binomen is available for this taxon. |
