According to Laidlaw and Solem A. laevus was very common in "old" collections from such locations as Java, Timor, Moluccas, Tenimber Islands, Ambon, Ceram, or Singapore. It is recognizable by it's yellow color with nearly always one or two spiral orange bands and often purplish, green, or reddish bands. The actual locality of specimens fitting this description is not known. |
