Pomacea canaliculata (Lamarck, 1822) Radula And Chitinous Jaws

Anyone who has spent time studying Pomacea canaliculata knows that the species spends an inordinate amount of time performing the following life functions:  feeding, defecating, and producing offspring - in that order. The images below show the species feeding apparatus as extracted from specimens collected on 11/15/2005 and 11/26/2005 at Baker Skinner Park/Praver Drive, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.
