Pomacea canaliculata Family Portrait

     After a busy summer devoted to species propagation, evidence of the Pomacea's success is not difficult to find. The two specimens illustrated below are but two of six collected near the lake/retention pond on 10/12/2005 that had juvenile specimens attached. Debris collected from the bottom of the drainage ditch likewise contained numerous juvenile specimens in various stages of growth.
