In the roadside swale on the east side of US-1 about 3.2 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida, October 31, 2015 (71.0 mm.). When discovered, the large specimen was in the initial stage of devouring a much smaller (40 mm.) member of the species (cannibalism). About two hours later the only thing that remained of the victim was the empty shell and three Polygyra species; representing the gut contents of the victim. |
