Egg Clutches On Cushion |
| Sometime following the late afternoon of September 10, 2005, an apparent boat cushion somehow found its way into the ditch just south of the concrete box culvert. The resident Pomacea canaliculata obviously saw this development as a golden opportunity and by mid-day of September 12th had deposited egg clutches on all four sides of the cushion. Further investigation revealed that a good portion of snails were still present in the vegetation below the cushion. |
