Vertigo clappi Brooks and Hunt, 1936 Cupped Vertigo

    Verble Church, Putnam County, Tennessee: ~6.4 km SW Monterey, E Rte. 84, immediately above Verble Church, a well-forested steep escarpment (~520-565 m alt.) in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau. 80 L duff sample gathered from several points in ~7500 mē area and comprised ~50% wet leaves & ~50% finer material from the base of small, steep limestone outcrops, Robert E. Winters (REW)! 6 Aug., 2019. Combined sample processed by REW: drying, visual culling, & serial sieving resulted in 3 L sample of "fines." These three specimens were the only examples of this species found in 1.5 L examined by H. G. Lee.
