Camp's Gulf, Van Buren County, Tennessee; Bob Winters! 11/3/2018 (9.1 mm.). Shells of this large, uniform sample resemble the specimen identified as S. stenotrema from Hamilton [Marion Co., NW], AL by Pilsbry (1940: 658, figs. b). In contrast to S. magnifumosum they have a strong buttress, looser coiling, a more inflexed lateral end of the parietal tooth , a shorter fulcrum, and more convex base . The shells are more plump, the basal notch deeper, and the interdenticular sinus more excavated than in S. stenotrema. Further, they have a broader, shallower interdenticular sinus, less deeply inflexed parietal tooth, much shorter fulcrum, stronger buttress, and less convex base than S. turbinella.
