Pleurotoma (Mangilia) fulgens E. A. Smith, 1888

From the look of the protoconch of the better-preserved of the two syntypes (BMNH 1854.5.26.34) illustrated in Williams (2006: sp. 5766), a more proper generic placement may be in Vitricythara Fargo in Olsson and Harbison, 1953 [type species Cythara metria Dall, 1902 OD; see also Vitricythara elata (Dall, 1889) Elongate Mangelia and Lee (2009: 134-135)].

Ergo Vitricythara fulgens (E. A. Smith, 1888).
