Borrow Pit Behind Commercial Facilities At 9365 Philips Highway, Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida |
During a field survey on 8/14/2018, evidence was found to indicate that a Pomacea paludosa (Say, 1829) [Florida Applesnail] population was present in a borrow pit on the east side of US-1 (Philips Highway) behind the commercial properties at 9365 Philips Highway. While no actual snails were seen, three Pomacea paludosa egg clutches were found on shoreline vegetation on the northernmost part of the impoundment. |
