Pomacea diffusa Blume, 1957 Spiketop Applesnail In Duval County, Florida

    Live in small drainage ditch on the north side of the Beach Boulevard between the Beach Boulevard Flea Market and the road, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 3/19/2018 (67 mm.). Within twelve hours of being taken into captivity the snail deposited the egg clutch pictured below on the side of the makeshift aquarium. This is the largest specimen found this far since the Pomacea diffusa population was discovered in 2006.
