Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail In Situ Up A Tree

Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail In Situ Up A Tree

Up a tree about five feet above ground, flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220, Middleburg, Clay County, Florida, 9/4/2021. It's unusual to find this species climbing trees. Presumably, despite its small size, the specimen was searching for Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe prey which predominately lives in trees at this location. During the 9/4/2021  trip a total of 21 Mesodon were found in trees as much as about 18 feet above ground.
