The specimen pictured below was photographed at this reporters residence in southeastern Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on July 3, 2014. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, this exotic species has been found in Florida since 1910 and has been present in Duval County (Jacksonville) since at least 1970. The Mediterranean Gecko has also been reported from Clay County in northeast Florida (Keystone Heights - 2001). |
