Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe Up A Large Pine Tree

     Up a tree about five feet above ground in the flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220 0.2 miles NW of Knight Boxx Road, Clay County, Florida, 8/1/2021. The species routinely climbs trees during  periods of prolonged heavy rain to escape possible drowning by rising water in their habitat.
