Attempted predation on Pomacea maculata at aquatic center lake |
| During a 8/11/2006 visit to the lake about 50 adult specimens were examined and the specimen pictured below was found which showed evidence of attempted predation by a yet unknown species. The largest hole in the shell measured about 8 x 11 mm., and as in the case of two similar specimens found on 7/15/2006, the specimen survived and ultimately repaired the shell damage from the inside. |
