Evans Reindeer Lichen - Cladina evansii

     This Evans Reindeer Lichen, also commonly called "Powder Puff Lichen," "Deer Moss,"  among other names, was photographed in a forested area in the Camp Blanding Training Area in far southwestern Clay County, Florida on 12/14/2013. The lichen is very common at this location both in forested areas as well the much more arid nearby Rosemary scrub.
