Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) And Eggs |
The 67.1 mm. Euglandina pictured below was taken into captivity from the roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.1 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway in northern St. Johns County, Florida during January, 2019. On 2/15/2019 the snail deposited a clutch of 41 eggs. This represents the second large egg clutch deposited by a captive Euglandina within the past month (See: Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail - Large Specimen). |
