When collected the empty Euglandina shell was placed in the car trunk for safe keeping. When checked about an hour later, it was discovered that unbeknownst to this reporter, a live Daedalochila auriculata (Say, 1818) [Ocala Liptooth], had been taking shelter inside the Euglandina shell and was in the process of exiting (chronicled in the image below). |
