These rare golden colored specimens were found dead on the shoreline of Lake Montgomery, Lake City, Columbia County, Florida on 9/11/2011. The largest specimen measured 48 mm. Pomacea paludosa are extremely common at this location and the three illustrated specimens were found amongst the hundreds of recently deceased normally colored specimens that were also present. Digital image by Bryan Marshall.
