Vitta usnea (Röding, 1798) Olive Nerite Unusually Large Specimens

    Alive in sulfur water spring run, downtown city park, Green Cove Springs, Clay County, Florida, 6/17/2008. The specimen on the left measures 22.8 mm. while the one on the right measures 25.9 mm. Both specimens exceed the world record sized specimen (as Neritina reclivata - 21.7 mm.) listed in the fifth edition of the registry of world record size shells.
