Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe From Trees

    Found in trees on the south side of Joe Johns Road near the flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220 0.2 miles NW of Knight Boxx Road, Clay County, Florida, 8/24/2021. The species routinely climbs trees. During the site visit on 8/24/2021, a total of eighteen Mesodon were found with all being in trees as high as twelve feet above ground.
