Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Predator Damage

    In mud, roadside swale on the east side of US-1 about 3.1 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida, 2/26/2020. The remaining portion of the shell measures 58 mm. Predator damage to the anterior part of the shell such as this has not been observed in the past. The top two images show the shell as found while the bottom image shows the shell after cleaning.
