Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnails In Situ

     Crawling in trail formation through vegetation, roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.3 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida 2/15/2021. In the past identical behavior involving the species has been observed at other locations in northeast Florida. It is believed to represent a snail seeking a mate and using the leading specimens scent trail to make the connection.
