Amphidromus atricallosus laidlawi Solem, 1965 Juveniles

A dextral or sinistral form that usually occurs as about 1 out of 35 shells of Amphidromus articallosus leucoxanthus.  Abbott, 1989 recognized this taxon as a subspecies although apparently it is no more than a rare color form. The brown flammulated pattern can occur with either a white or yellow ground color and sometimes the apex appears pinkish.
