Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail In Situ

    Buried deeply in vegetation searching for prey, roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.2 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida 11/7/2020. When the specimen was removed from the vegetation it was discovered that it was in the process of swallowing a small Polygyra septemvolva Say, 1818 Florida Flatcoil (see bottom image above).
