Amphidromus perversus solemi Abbas and Krull 2009 |
This subspecies is characterized by "two-toned" yellow ground color shells with varying degrees of pink, peach and/or orange tint on the body whorl and sometimes extending part or all the way up the spire. These shells also have light colored varices while most perversus have black ones. There are also dark-flamed, more typical perversus color forms in the colony which is found on Nusa Baron Island off the south coast of Java. |
