Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail In Situ

    As found under dry palm frond, St. Johns Bluff Road at the Interstate 295 overpass, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 10/18/2019.  Because of the propensity of larger Euglandina to devour smaller members of the same species, it's extremely rare to find multiple specimens of dissimilar size in such close proximity. Eight additional live specimens were found in the area with only a single snail found beneath each palm frond.
