Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail - Large Specimen

   Empty shell on the west side of US-1 about 3.1 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida, 4/13/2018 (62.2 mm.). The specimen was probably damaged by mowers during routine maintenance of the roadside swale - see image inset, bottom. Other specimens present did not remain intact following a probable encounter with the mowing machine - see image inset, top.
