| The top specimen illustrated below is a Leidyula floridana collected from under a brick in southeastern Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on 5/7/2009. The identification of the much darker specimen, collected in Dade City, Pasco County, northwest of Tampa, west-central Florida on 5/1/2009, was initially uncertain. However subsequent dissection of the specimen by the U. S. Department of Agriculture confirmed that it too was Leidyula floridana. |
