These probable Daedalochila avara eggs were found beneath a small log in the roadside swale on the south side of County Road 13 0.2 miles north northeast of Bass Haven Lane (GPS: 29.55378N 081.34464W - WGS-84 Datum) on 11/21/2010. The species is very common at this location and shares the habitat with Daedalochila auriculata (Say, 1818) Ocala Liptooth. Although significantly smaller, the eggs are very similar to those of Daedalochila auriculata. |
