Bearing an uncanny resemblance to Vitrinella floridana Pilsbry and McGinty, 1946 Florida Vitrinella, this Allogastropod (Valvatoidea: Hyalogyridae) possesses a characteristic hyperstrophic protoconch. The species is not uncommon in the lower Pinecrest beds, Upper Tamiami Formation, Sarasota County, Florida (1.37 mm.). SEMs produced in collaboration with Dr. Ann Heatherington, Dept. of Geological Sciences, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. It is held by the FLMNH as UFIP303211.

An apparently closely-related congener is also not uncommon and today lives in the Banana River, Brevard Co., FL (see p. 1 at <http://www.jaxshells.org/pdfs/janfeb19.pdf>:Lee Collection).
