Unidentified Philomycid Slug |
| This exotic slug species, measuring about 70 mm. in length, was found and photographed by Robert Pilla in the Redland section (SW 157th Avenue just south of 216th Street ) of Miami-Dade County, Florida on October 22, 2008. After coordination, the specimen was turned over to the USDA the same day for dissection/possible identification. After analysis, the slug was determined to be an albinistic Philomycid species - with specific identification to be determined later by further analysis. |
